先週KATO製の103系が久々に販売するので、自分なりに手を加えた姿を載せたところ、思いのほか反響があった。
と言う事は、結構気になっている人も多いと言うことで、続編を作成することにしました。

一番古いKATO製の製品カタログを発掘したところ、2009年の物が出てきた。
たしか2008年が最初の購入だったと思う。
その中に、田町駅風と思われる写真が載っていた。
当時は、模型復活・・・ではなく、30代後半で初めて鉄道模型を初めて、その時の最初が「オリジナル鶴見線205系」で、いきなり切り接ぎで「クモハ205」を作った事。おせいじにも出来が良いとは言えないが、このサイズでライト点灯して走り回るという事に、Nゲージの奥深さを知る。
ベースはもちろんKATO製で、そこからKATOさんという「模型のパイオ～ニア♪」を知ることに・・・。
釣られて歌ってしまった人、「昭和のおじさんおばさん認定」です。
模型のスタート時、「鶴見線」「南武線」限定で、その後地元関連の「中央線」「青梅線」、そしてすんでいた「千葉の車両」という流れで、入線していく。
そんな中2009年のカタログが出て、「いつかは山手線や京浜東北線まで、範囲を広げたいな」と思った時期でした。
この時に載っていたのが「京浜東北線ATC」「山手線ATC」「中央線ATC」「総武緩行線非ATC(高運)」だったのですが、最初に入線するのは黄色で、南武線仕様に・・・出来無い。そう、南武線は「ATC車」の転属仕様だったので断念。
次に中央線となりますが、「ATC仕様なんか有ったのか？」と言う事になり、いったん保留。
同じ2009年のカタログには、「大阪環状線」版が載っていた。
そう、私のイメージでは、「低運1灯」「低運シールドビーム化2灯仕様」、そしてこの「低運ブタ鼻」である。
まぁ数年後に201系が導入になったため、車歴の浅いこの車両は、中央線を離れほとんどが関西へ流れてしまうのだが・・・。
そしてよく見ると、「ベンチレーターの色が違う！？そうか、交換すれば良いのか！」
これが、自宅での標準仕様になることになる。
そして「大阪環状線改造、中央線仕様」（モハユニット追加）として、入線させた。
そして数年後、「低運転台ブタ鼻シリーズ」が発売。「中央線」「総武緩行線」「山手線」と発売される事になる。
もちろんそれも「快速仕様」として在籍している。
先ほどの10両セットシリーズですが・・・。
「武蔵野線仕様」として改造。
これは、末期に撮影した思い出の103系の一つで、是非とも欲しかったので作ってします。
その後、ベースになった「中央線ATC」は、201系増備中に予算が厳しくなり、京浜東北線への転属前提で、ATC車を中央線に増発用として一本導入していたことも判明。まさかのそのモデル化だったのである。
今更戻そうにも、もったいなくて出来無いのが悩みどころですorz
KATOさん、こういう路線別仕様に仕立てて発売しても良いんですよ。武蔵野線は205系でも「特別企画品」ですから。
ここで、その後入線したTOMIX製のHGの話も交えます。
もちろんTOMIX製も「武蔵野線」として仕立てているのですが、6連の西船橋止まりだった頃の仕様。
前面も「低運シールドビーム2灯化」の入線なので、KATOさん出していない仕様なんですよ。
ついでに言うと、マイクロエース製は、「列車番号移設した変顔仕様」、
じつは被っていないんですね。
中央線の話ですが、「高運転台非ATC」をTOMIX製で入線。未整備ですが、この非ATCもKATOさんはセットでは出しておらず、単品で今更揃えるわけにも行かないんですよ。
この後、TOMIXのHG仕様が多数入線。何しろバリ展が多く、KATO製の中古品さえ、見かけなくなってきてしまう・・・。
そしてKATO製、低運シリーズの発売。
「中央線」「総武緩行線」、そして1年でクハだけATC車に入れ替えになった「山手線」が発売。
山手線を除き、入線させます。
それでも、写真の総武緩行線は、他社が発売していなかった為、かなり貴重な車両になる。
この時点で、先ほどの10両セットは手に入らなくなっており、探しているうちに「TOMIXのHG（高運非ATC）」が発売。他に「ATC仕様（TOMIX旧製品）」「低運シールドビーム2灯化（TOMIX）」と、各種揃ってしまう。
そして、TOMIXから山手線「高運ATC」が発売されるが、ここは横浜線仕様で落成する。
これはなぜだったのか・・・、KATO製103系を入線させるために山手線を開けておくためだった。
2019年8月、やっとKATO製の103系山手線が入線。
この頃になると「ベンチレーター交換」「内装追加」「電球色LEDライト」「ほろ追加」と、改造する仕様が決まってきていた。
方向幕は水色が濃かったので、いずれ修正しようと思う。
そしてついに・・・。
2021年11月6日、「京浜東北線ATC」が入線する。
かなりくたびれた個体ですが、他の車両を見ればわかるとおり、かなり変わります。「一体型クーラー」と「サハ」の部分に目をつむれば・・・。
京浜東北線は、TOMIX製入れていなかったのかというと、もちろん入線している。
ではKATO製はいらなかったかというと、そうでは無い。
KATO製が10連貫通に対し、TOMIX製は「7+3の分割編成」仕様で、しかも非冷房混在です。
しかも中間閉じ込めは、「転属直後の青梅線仕様」というマニアックな物で、これはこれでやりたかったという、変態仕様だったりします。
そして来年2月・3月に「お手軽、お手軽 103系でNゲージをはじめよう」というフレーズで、ナンバーも新たな103系が発売される。これは誰に当てた物なのか？
子供に与えてあげる、お父さんへのメッセージのような気がする。
はたまた、模型から離れていた40代・50代・そして60代向けなのかもしれない。
今回は、「基本4両セット」に「増結3両セット」の各色・・・。
フル編成化するもヨシ、混色編成にするもヨシ。色々と出来そうです。
前回言いませんでしたが、混色編成は各線で見られたものの、ほとんどが「低運転台1灯ライト」か「シールドビーム2灯化」時代。高運転台ATCが使えるの路線は「総武緩行線」「埼京線」「赤羽線」「川越線」「武蔵野線」「常磐緩行線」「横浜線」「青梅線」「仙石線」（関西方面はわかりませんorz）と、かなり限られるので注意。
やはり「低運シールドビーム２灯化」が欲しかったなぁ。有れば「南武線」「京葉線」など、さらに増えるんですけど残念。
